The Brazilian Bergantin, Bahia, left Bahia on 10 April 1826 and purchased 449 enslaved people at Ouidah (no date recorded). The undocumented captain sailed the vessel, owned by José de Cerqueira Lima, back toward Brazil as intended, when it likely landed in 1826. Only 421 people survived the Middle Passage. For more information, see Map of 1826.
