The Portuguese brig, Tibério, left Bahia on 4 March 1835 and purchased 490 enslaved people at Lagos (no date recorded). The captain, Francisco Nunes Lopes, sailed the vessel, owned by Manoel Cardoso dos Santos, toward Brazil, when it likely landed in Bahia in 1835. Only 444 people survived the Middle Passage.
