Julius Thalès (1831)
Voyage Overview
The French Brig, Julius Thalès, left Martinique on 6 July 1830 and purchased 331 enslaved people at Fermoso (no date recorded). The captain and owner, Pierre Robin, sailed the vessel toward the French Caribbean, although the ship was captured, and French proceedings were initiated in Guadeloupe and the vessel was condemned. Only 300 people survived the Middle Passage. For more information, see Map of 1831.
