The French Schooner-brig, Bienfaisant, left La Rochelle on 17 November 1824 and purchased 376 enslaved people at Ouidah by February 1825. The captain, Michel Etienne Luzet, sailed the vessel, owned by Manson and Luzet, back toward Brazil as intended, when it likely landed at an unknown port in Pernambuco (no date recorded). Only 335 people survived the Middle Passage. For more information, see Map of 1825.
