The Brazilian Schooner, Zéfiro, left Bahia on 16 January 1822 and purchased 380 enslaved people at Ouidah (no date recorded). The captain, Marcelino Álvares da Cruz Rios, sailed the vessel back toward Brazil as intended in April 1822, when it likely landed at São Salvador da Bahia on 23 May 1822. Only 277 people survived the Middle Passage. For more information, see Map of 1822.
